Hey guys! I don't know how many of you in the USA remember the SOPA uproar last year, but they're trying to sneak back again. There is an official petition that needs 100,000 signatures by the 19th of March. Search for Stop SOPA 2014 and sign it (if you are a US citizen) or everything we Narniacs love, the fanart, the fan videos, the fanfiction, etc., including this group, will be pulled down. I know there hasn't been a lot of activity in the main media yet, but it's better safe than sorry. I for one would hate to have to stop reading and writing fanfiction and designing fanart for Narnia. Please sign the petition and spread the word!

Ack! That sounds bad... I guess they'll keep on trying to enforce it because the companies behind it are giving the government the money to do so or something... I hope it's got more than enough signatures by now!
Last I checked it did. The thing is they are trying to cut down on piracy, but they're not acknowledging the difference between pirated original work and credited fan work, which is why we keep having to go through these petitions. Once they acknowledge the difference, I'm more than happy to let them pass a bill against internet piracy - just leave fan work alone.
